Adding CMS to an old website

Convert your old website to have CMS? Yes, it can be done!

We can add CMS (a Content Management System) to your old website. If you don't want to go through the time and costs of a full website redevelopment using a true, full feature CMS such as Joomla, Magento or Wordpress, your existing site can be converted allowing you to change your words and images when you need to change them!

We use a simple to use and compact Content Management System intended for the simple creation of editable web pages. An excellent means of changing an existing static website to allow its owner to change the words and images as required.

Edit your own web pages

From the website owner's perspective, you will see a little pencil icon immediately above the items you can change, see the one in the image above. Your visitors won't see this of course!

The webpage content (words and images) will then be shown in a simple CMS editing window, which has word processing tools on it to help you. The window shows you the content in WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get)...

Our simple CMS solution removes the technical and complex content administration from the user, leaving you in control of their web content.

You can't add pages or change menus with this type of product but we can do that for you and you can get on with most of your changes yourself!

How much does retrofitting CMS cost?

We would have to see your existing site to assess the costs. The CMS system and Wysiwyg editor has to be installed on your web server and so there is a fixed piece of work regardless of how many pages you have. As a rough guide, it would take us about a day to make the changes to a 5 page site and maybe a day and a half to make changes to a 15 page site.
